On 18 and 19 May 2024, the 3rd Festival for the Promotion of Gender Equality, Femme Fest Cyprus, will take place at the Nicosia Municipal Garden. Femme Fest is organised by the POGO Women’s Movement, has the Office of the Gender Equality Commissioner as its Institutional Supporter, is hosted by the Municipality of Nicosia and is supported by the National Mechanism for Women’s Rights.

It is a two-day festival which hosts and showcases the work of women in various fields and presents institutions, organisations and collectives working on gender issues. Femme Fest includes thematic centres where visitors and guests will learn about many issues from a gender perspective, parallel discussions and workshops, theatre, dance and music performances. At the same time, a children’s creative activity corner is operating in the festival area to facilitate parents who want to attend the festival’s activities, as well as food and drink stands so that those who visit the area can have a full and creative day.

Entry to the festival and participation in all its activities is free of charge.
